What it does
Atola Insight is known for imaging difficult drives safely and for its automatic diagnosis.
- Automatic check of the board, heads, surface, firmware and partitions, with a report and an imaging time estimate
- Multi-pass imaging of damaged and freezing drives while watching the drive's current
- Three imaging sessions at once to E01, AFF4 or raw images
- Write blocking on all source ports; finds and removes hidden areas (HPA/DCO); unlocks ATA passwords
- Automatic firmware repair on supported models, plus direct access to firmware modules (Atola says firmware repair has not been its focus for some years)
