What it does
MRT is a firmware-level tool in the same class as PC-3000. Each brand module puts the drive in factory mode and works directly on its firmware.
- Reads and writes firmware modules and service-area tracks, and works with the drive's ROM
- A data recovery module that images drives with bad sectors, including head by head, and extracts files
- Disk scan, surface test, ROM programmer and a firmware database
- Works on several drives at once: imaging, drive-to-drive copies, formatting and RAID
